This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and TODO(owner): registered company name, which operates PrakWay. By creating an account, applying to a role, contributing a salary report or paying for a subscription, you accept them.
They are versioned. The version in force is shown at the top of this page, and the version you accepted is recorded against your account.
Who may use PrakWay
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. One person, one account. An employer account may have several members, each with their own sign-in.
What you put on your profile must be true. Claiming a degree you do not hold or an employer you never worked for is grounds for us to remove the claim and, where it is deliberate, to close the account.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. Never share a password or a one-time code with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from PrakWay — we will never ask for one.
We may suspend or close an account used for fraud, harassment, scraping, impersonation, or repeated posting of false information, and we will tell you why.
What PrakWay is, and is not
PrakWay is a platform. We are not an employer, a recruitment agency, a placement consultancy or a staffing firm, and we do not act as your agent with any company.
Listings come from employers who post here and from sources we syndicate. We verify what we can and label what we cannot. Salary figures, joining dates, headcounts and interview processes described by employers or members are their statements, not ours.
We do not guarantee a job, an interview, a shortlist, a callback or any particular outcome. Anyone telling you PrakWay guarantees placement is not speaking for us.
A match score is an estimate computed from your resume and the posting. It is not a decision, and no employer is bound by it.
We never charge you to apply
This has to be said explicitly, because job fraud is common and it almost always starts with a small, plausible fee.
PrakWay never charges a candidate to apply for a job, to be shortlisted, to sit an interview, to attend a walk-in drive, or to receive an offer. A subscription buys product features and nothing else.
No PrakWay employee will ask you for money, for a registration fee, for a security deposit, or for a bank OTP. If an employer on the platform asks you for money, stop and report the posting. The report control is on the listing itself, and the Grievance Officer will act on it.
What you contribute
You keep ownership of everything you write and upload: resumes, cover notes, salary reports, interview experiences, practice answers, notes and messages.
You grant us a licence to store, process and display that content for the purposes set out in the privacy notice — showing your profile to the people you chose, sending your application where you sent it, and including salary figures in aggregates that do not identify you. The licence lasts as long as we hold the content and ends when it is deleted, except for aggregates that no longer identify you.
You confirm that what you post is yours to post, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not disclose anyone else personal data or an employer confidential information.
Rules for salary reports
The entire value of the salary data is that it is real. These rules exist to keep it that way.
- Report only compensation you actually received or were actually offered. Not a friend number, and not a number from a forum.
- Report it accurately: base, bonus and equity as they were, in per year, with the date of the offer.
- Evidence is optional. An offer letter you upload is used only to mark the report verified, is never shown to anyone, and can be deleted while the report stays.
- An aggregate is published only when enough independent reports sit behind it that no single person number can be read off it.
- Inflated, invented or duplicated submissions are removed. Repeating that costs you the account.
Rules for interview experiences
Describe the process and the questions. Do not name the interviewer, do not post anything covered by a non-disclosure agreement, and do not reproduce a company proprietary test material.
Write it as your experience, because that is what it is. An outcome you report becomes part of a company page, and the company may respond to it.
Things you must not do
Any of the following is a breach of these terms and can end your access immediately.
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract listings, profiles or salary data by any means, including a browser automated to look human.
- Resell, republish or redistribute listings or aggregate data as your own product.
- Post a role you are not authorised to post, or a role that does not exist.
- Post a job advertisement that discriminates on caste, religion, gender, marital status, pregnancy, disability, region or language.
- Harass, threaten, defame or impersonate anyone, or send unsolicited commercial messages through the messaging feature.
- Upload malware, probe for vulnerabilities without written permission, or work around rate limits and access controls.
- Share an employer console sign-in outside your company, or use a candidate application data for anything other than the role they applied to.
If you post roles
An employer account carries obligations a candidate account does not.
- You confirm that you are authorised to hire, or to post on behalf of a company that is.
- The posting must be accurate about the role, the location, the work mode and the pay, and must be a real vacancy.
- You must not charge a candidate anything, at any stage, for anything.
- Candidate data you receive may be used only to assess that candidate for that role, and must be handled in line with Indian data protection law. You are independently responsible for it once you hold it.
- Job board credentials you connect remain yours. You are responsible for what is published under them, and syndication happens only when you ask for it.
- We may remove a posting that breaks these rules, and suspend an account that does it repeatedly.
Guardian links
A guardian link works for anyone who holds it, without signing in. You choose who to send it to and you are responsible for that choice. Revoke it from Settings the moment you want it to stop working.
Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans are billed through Razorpay. The price and the billing period are shown before you pay, in Indian rupees, with GST at 18 per cent itemised on the invoice.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep everything you paid for until the period ends.
If a renewal payment fails, the subscription goes past due and paid features pause until payment succeeds. Your data is not deleted because a card expired.
Refunds are governed by the refunds and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
Our material
The PrakWay name and marks, the software, the course material we author, and the curated and aggregated data are ours or our licensors. Using the product transfers none of it to you. Do not copy the product, reverse engineer it, or use our marks without written permission.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we will take it down for maintenance when we need to.
We are building this product actively. Features will change and some will be withdrawn. Where a change removes something you paid for, we will tell you and, if it matters, refund the unused period.
Limits on liability
We are not liable for a hiring decision made by an employer, for the accuracy of what an employer or another member posts, for a job that turns out not to exist, or for a loss caused by someone who obtained a guardian link you shared.
To the extent Indian law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one thousand rupees if you have paid us nothing. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost earnings or a lost opportunity.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. You will cover us against a claim arising from your breach of these terms or from content you posted.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time from Settings. Closing it starts the erasure process described in the privacy notice, with its seven-day recovery window.
We can suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach. Where we do, an unused paid period is refunded unless the breach was fraud.
Terms meant to survive do survive: licences over aggregates that no longer identify you, the limits on liability, and governing law.
Complaints
We publish a named Grievance Officer, as both the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021 and the DPDP Act require. Complaints are acknowledged within twenty-four hours and resolved within fifteen days. The details are on the grievance redressal page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at TODO(owner): city of jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any right you have to approach a consumer forum where you live.
Changes to these terms
We will publish a new version with a new version string and tell you before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use PrakWay after that date means you accept the new version. If you do not accept it, close the account and ask for a refund of the unused period.
